Are You Serious?

So here's the "official" pollen count scale:
0-30: Low
31-60: Moderate
61-120: High
Over 120: Extremely High
And here are the pollen counts for the past 5 days in Atlanta:
Wed: 5,861
Thu: 2,562
Fri: 670
Sat: 1,729
Sun: 3,193
It seems that the scale might need to be reworked, doesn't it? Still, it's better than earthquakes.

I've always assumed the person who wrote that scale lived in the desert where there aren't any plants. But it also seems that every year the counts get higher and higher. 5861 seems such a ridiculously high number.

Aye. 5861 is a ridiculously high number. My watery eyes, runny nose, scratchy throat, befuddled brain, and achy muscles all agree.

And klaus, one more thing: wildfires. I didn't want to bring this up last fall, but there it is.
