Nerd Note

According to this Wikipedia article on the dating of Jesus' birth, the most famous number line of all has no zero. There is no year 0. The year 1 B.C. is followed directly by the year 1 A.D.

This may be widely known, it may not. I certainly don't remember having heard or read about this interesting fact. And frankly, it blows my mind.

As my dad once said, "You learn something old every day."

It is that bit of nerd info that was behind the small geek army who tried to rain on everyone's 1999 by claiming that the year 2000 was the last year of the millennium and that 2001 was the first year of the new millennium. Do the math. Technically, we, I mean they, were right but were cast as the ants at the picnic.

Hmmm. I'm trying to figure out if that's a 5- or a 6-year grudge that "someone" is carrying.
